Enlightenment Day of Guanyin Bodhisattva

Every year on the 19th day of the sixth lunar month, the 125 Tan Phu Guanyin Temple holds a ceremony to celebrate the Enlightenment Day of Guanyin Bodhisattva, commemorating the day she attained Bodhisattvahood.

Significance

The Enlightenment Day reminds devotees of Guanyin Bodhisattva's spiritual journey, her unwavering perseverance, and her infinite compassion. The Bodhisattva made a vow to deliver all sentient beings from the ocean of suffering.

Ceremony

Offering incense, fresh flowers, and fruits to the Bodhisattva
Chanting sutras and praying for blessings
Praying for national peace, prosperity, and family happiness
